My favorite restaurants in New York...

Beauty & Essex bite size tomato soup with dumpling

Places one wants to return to -and dream about their food -are great restaurants!

In New York my favorites are...

Love, love Nobu 57 --plus my 58 St. neighborhood-delicious-Japanese called Damo Damo.

Balthazar in Soho to make believe I am in Paris, with great ambiance  -and a great Onion and Goat cheese Tart ....& the best hamburger with real fries in NYC!

Beauty & Essex amazing setting & ambiance and great small plates cuisine.

The American food of The Brooklyn Diner. Pea soup to die for!

BG and the Saks Fifth Avenue Café for casual business lunches, teatime and for eating deliciously while shopping on Fifth Avenue.

A genuine, simple and yummy Vietnamese down in Chinatown called Thai Son (crazy about their food!)

Victor´s Café for good Cuban food.

In winter, The Sea Grill at the Rockefeller Center ice skating rink, for great seafood with a view.

Toloache for Mexican high cuisine (their Huitlacoche Quesadilla is a dream)

40 Carrots for yogurt and nice lunches at Bloomingdale´s

Tamarind on 22 St. for Indian food;

Amazing hamburgers from Shake Shack

Landmarc in the Time Warner Centre for brunch with kids.

Lusardi´s on the Upper East Side, during white truffle season! Great Italian!

Blue Ribbon (their fast food branch on First Street) for Fried Chicken;

The delicious Cajun Chicken -but not the snobbish service- of Le Bilboquet.

The fresh and delicious fast food (sandwiches, salads, etc.) from any Prêt a Manger

Entrance to Nobu 57

Balthazar´s parisian ambiance

Nobu 57 Bento Box in 2 courses

Heaven Has Heels featured me --So cool

I was featured in this cool fashion shoes blog and wanted to share it with you. It was fun!

http://www.heavenhasheels.com/blog/well-heeled-hot-seat-mari-ichaso

WELL HEELED HOT SEAT: MARI ICHASO

She's vivacious, charming and a wealth of fashion knowledge, we put Senior Lifestyles Editor of Televisa Publishing, Mari Ichaso in our Well Heeled Hot Seat.
Flats or five inches? 2 or 3 inches. And wedges a-la-espadrille
Sequins or satin? Satin...satin...and some sequins!
   Overdressed or Under-dressed? Under-dressed definitely.
Tiny tote or enormous handbag? Goyard medium tote & Longchamp Pliage,
   all sizes.
What's your fashion mantra to the masses? Be loyal to a smashing style that
shows the real you and ignore the tempting "solitary numbers," as
     Karl Lagerfeld once told me.

Maya´s paintings: Picassos-Picassos

Maya Picasso's personal collection of her father's paintings at Gagosian Madison Avenue. Magnificent! It closes today, Nov 19 2017.

Maya was born from the relationship of Pablo Picasso with very young and blond Marie-Therese Walter, which this painting portrays.  Picasso eventually left her --and moved on to new women and new children --and when Picasso died -years later- heart broken Marie-Therese killed herself.

I want this bag!! No, it is not Chanel. Is Gucci!

Absolutely love this over the top bag! Gucci GG Marmont matelassé mini bag @
$ 1,790. It is baroque & sexy & gorgeous and has a very Chanel inspiration. With a black outfit -it's all you need. It also comes in silver and black -but gold is IT.

Wild, divine shoes!

The rage! Aquazurra Wild Thing Sandals. ($785.00) For more comfort, they also make them with a smaller square heel & in other colors. Did you know the founder & designer of Aquazurra is Colombian shoe designer Edgardo Osorio? And he has taken the fashion world by storm!

Picabia en el MoMa desde Noviembre 21 2016

Abre en el MoMa de Nueva York este lunes monday, el primer grand show dedicado a Francis Picabia!
  • "Born in Paris in 1879, Picabia was the only child of a French mother and a Cuban-born Spanish father whose combined fortunes (French mercantile; Cuban sugar) meant that he never had to do anything but make art, which they encouraged. He worked as a painter, poet, graphic designer, filmmaker, set designer, publisher, editor and orchestrator of exhibitions, events and performances — some of which he helped pay for — and was also known as a lover of gambling, yachts, fast cars and speed in general"
